                                             Life Happens

This summer, we saw that even though gas prices were through the roof, church attendance was
down.  People travelling and spending time with family while school is out and the weather is hot
and life happens.  The beach is inviting, the BBQ enticing and the smell of summer fun is in the air
as life happens.

The summer is over, kids are going back to school and life happens.   Most churches are getting
ready for the start of a bump in the road trip of life.   It seems that the same time each year,
attendance spikes and dips at certain times barring a major catastrophe.  I like to call it the road
trip effect as life happens.  Sometimes we get on the road all excited and then life happens.  

Who we are and what we think about “who God is” will pretty much determine how life happens
in our families.   Is God who He really says He is?  Do our life choices reflect our beliefs?  Are
we being obedient to God's word in our personal life?  Does our church life and our personal life
collide giving Glory to God?  What does that look like?

This month we will travel on the road of life at Faith Chapel and discover what God has for us as
we look into his word and share with others around us.  On the road, we sometimes get lost or
sidetracked but with a map we can navigate to our destination.  The Word is our map.  When we
spend time with God, we can hear His Spirit whisper to us like a GPS device!    

Can you hear Him as you travel and life happens!  How will life happen for you and your house?
